Vatsala Kumar

Vatsala is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor with over 19 years’ global experience in financial and internal audits. She has worked extensively with Indian and international clients across industries including manufacturing, real estate, oil & gas, FMCG and services.

At BDO EDGE India, Vatsala serves as a key leader where she leads the Assurance practice, ensuring exceptional delivery quality and building high-performing teams that support BDO firms worldwide. She also oversees the Advisory practice, overall business operations and drives strategic growth initiatives.

Previously, she spearheaded the UK offshoring project, where she expanded operations, streamlined processes, and developed training and integration programmes to strengthen global collaboration. She has also led assurance and consulting projects in the Middle East, designing structured procedures and controls to drive efficiency.

Vatsala has successfully managed complex global engagements, working closely with senior executives and cross-cultural teams to deliver audits and provide valuable insights for improved governance and controls.
